About Us

René von Rautenkranz, Managing Director of the company, has been in the drilling business for most of his career. He started out in vertical drilling, working for many years in the on- and offshore drilling business for Deutag Drilling, today KCA Drilling, working on land rigs in Holland, Germany, Oman and Thailand and for some time on offshore rigs in the Brent field in the North Sea.

During his 18 years with The Charles Machine Works, the maker of Ditch Witch Equipment, René provided technical and sales assistance for the whole range of Ditch Witch equipment, including trenchers, cable plows and Horizontal Drilling Rigs from 2 ton to 35 ton pullback force, driving business in Europe and the Middle East. René set up the first overseas offices for Ditch Witch in Holland and Spain covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa markets and later established the Singapore office to cover growing sales and dealer development opportunities in Asia and the Pacific.

As sales & project manager for Herrenknecht Asia, René was responsible for building the pipeline business in Asia/Pacific with a focus on the Maxi HDD Rig business in the region.

Since starting his own consulting business in 2013, René has continued to provide solutions to pipe line owner, contractors and engineering firms in the Asia/Pacific pipeline and general HDD business, also expanding into the Coal Seam Gas (CSG) market, helped by Prime Drillings Multiple Directional Drilling equipment (MDD). With the introduction of a new generation of smaller to medium size HDD equipment from Prime Drilling, RMH Global is pleased to offer expanded options to serve client needs.
